Rachel Mabe is a journalist in New Mexico. She’s written for a variety of publications including The Atlantic, Oxford American, The Guardian, Oprah Magazine, and The Paris Review. Her work explores the institutions, substances, and practices people use to find their way in recovery, in community, and in the landscapes that hold them.
She holds an MFA in creative nonfiction & journalism from the University of Pittsburgh, an MA in folklore from the University of North Carolina, and a BA in English and poetry from Bryn Mawr College.
